Margaret Braun has lived a life of simple service. Whether it’s supporting foster kids and sponsoring refugees or serving her church family or the residents of low income housing communities through the Community Health Advocate program at Spokane Regional Health District, she serves with an open hand and giving heart. Margaret cherishes those she meets and learns from those relationships feeds her soul. By reframing challenges, she helps create hope and new possibilities. With a warm smile and a kind word she welcomes all.

She truly believes that she cannot change the whole world, but she can change the world for one person at a time.

A quote by Mr. Rogers perfectly expresses her heart:

“I believe that appreciation is a holy thing- that when we look for what’s best in a person we happen to be with at the moment, we’re doing what God does all the time. So in loving and appreciating our neighbor we’re participating in something sacred.” --  Fred Rogers
