Health equity means the attainment of the highest level of health for all people. This is exactly what the Leaders in Women’s Health strives to achieve! They fight health disparities because they envision a world where all people have access to all aspects of health, no matter the color of their skin, socio-economic status, or gender.

As an initiative of the Northwest Leadership Foundation, the Leaders in Women’s Health (LIWH): DISCOVERS the complexities that contribute to health disparities, DEVELOPS sustainable solutions to community members’ health needs and DEPLOYS equipped leaders and practitioners who partner with healthcare systems and others to address health equity. LIWH believes that lay community members can help in the design and implementation of system improvements in the healthcare sector. Through stakeholder commitment, shared learnings and collaboration—the Leaders in Women’s Health is forging a pathway for civic engagement and leadership from and by the community.
